Summer Snow? Nope, Maple Helicopters! – Wordless Wednesday

Now that the pear blossoms have been washed away by real spring snowfall, it’s time for the Maple Helicopters to come down!  I did not catch very many in the photo; sometimes it looked like a hurricane!  Lining different streets than the pear trees, the maple helicopters seem more numerous this year than ever before!   When the wind blows, they look like attack choppers raiding the countryside. 😀

  1. We don’t have maples here but the same type of seeds come from the sycamore trees. We used to call them Spinning Ginnies as children.

  2. We were watching them at the marina the last time we were up. They were all over the place. A welcome sight each spring.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. 🙂
