Prayer for the Ukraine

Please pray for Ukraine, the Ukrainian people, the sad and poor Russian boys who have been sent to invade, and for the Prince of Peace to rule in hearts and minds of all those involved.
May God have mercy on the neo-Hitler, Putin, because He will be the only one offering it, even if it is His “final mercy to those who will receive no other.” (C.S. Lewis)

I realize that last week we sent up prayers for the Ukraine. But in light of the fact that those innocent people are still under attack and that Sky News Reporter Stuart Ramsay was shot and his cameraman Richie Mockler received injuries from the enemy’s ambush and somehow managed to survive…I beseech you beloved, to again pray and continue a prayer vigilance and fasting until we see results inclusive of an end to this atrocity. Let us not forget The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops. Father God, King of all nations, we cry out to you now for the people of Ukraine. We ask you to rescue those who are vulnerable from the hands of their enemies that they may live without fear before you all their days [Luke 1:74-75]. We pray for the people of the Ukraine and the people of Russia; for their countries and their leaders. We pray for all those who are afraid; that your everlasting arms hold them in this time of great fear. We pray for all those who have the power over life and death; that they will choose for all people, life, and life in all its fullness. We pray for those who choose war; that they will remember that you direct your people to turn our swords into plowshares and seek peace. We pray for leaders on the world stage; that they are inspired by the wisdom and courage of Christ. Above all, Lord, today we pray for peace for Ukraine. And we ask this in the name of your blessed Son. Lord have mercy. Amen
